Long family-style tables and lounge seating give you a starting point for a private dinner at Somerhaus. The house sound system and wireless microphones are available for background music and toasts, while the built-in bar provides a place for drinks.

Choose your own licensed caterer or use the preferred vendor network. The prep kitchen has refrigeration, a microwave, an induction burner, and work surfaces for finishing dishes. It is not a full commercial kitchen, so plan the menu and service with your catering team.

Discuss your table arrangement, food service, and any drinks reception together. Setup and teardown belong inside the rental period; check the published packages and confirm the timing for your dinner.

What dining configurations are available?

We can accommodate various seating arrangements with our long family-style tables. Our team will work with you to design the perfect layout for your dinner event. View some configuration options on our venue layout page.

What's included in the kitchen access for dinners?

Our prep kitchen includes warming equipment, refrigeration, and basic prep space for caterers. While it's not a full commercial kitchen, it provides the fundamentals needed for professional catering teams to execute beautiful plated dinners. Contact us for detailed kitchen specifications.

Do you provide catering services for dinner events?

We work with a list of preferred caterers who specialize in plated dinners and family-style service. Our caterers know the space intimately and can accommodate various dietary restrictions and menu preferences. We will of course coordinate catering logistics with you.

How much time is included for setup and teardown?

Setup and teardown times are built into your rental period. Additional setup or teardown time can be purchased at an hourly rate if needed assuming the schedule permits. All vendors and personal items must be removed by the end of your contracted teardown period unless special arrangements have been made in advance. Contact us to discuss extended setup needs.

Is the full venue the only rental option, or can parts be rented separately?

Somerhaus is open concept and can only be rented as a complete venue. For smaller functions, we recommend you contact Somerset, who's lounge is available for private bookings.

What parking options are available?

We have several convenient parking options nearby. Washington Park Underground Parking is one block away (2-minute walk). The Open Air 3CDC Lot on Vine St & 15th is a 3-minute walk. Mercer Commons Garage is two blocks away (4-minute walk). Street parking may be available on northern streets, but garage/lot parking is recommended. Note: Republic Street is permit parking only.
